About Jones Consultancy.
Jones Consultancy is an independent, Christchurch-based accessibility and universal design specialist.
With international and New Zealand experience in accessibility in design and built environments, we work with clients on a range of different projects throughout New Zealand - from very small to very large - including commercial, public, health, and hospitality facilities.
Our certified professional experience includes a wide variety of new and existing buildings and environments, a solid understanding of New Zealand Building Act 2004 requirements for accessibility and the New Zealand Building Code, plus knowledge of international accessibility and universal design standards and recommendations.
Services include:
Assessing building projects at key points during the design process.
The earlier in the design process accessibility is considered, the more easily requirements and recommendations can be seamlessly integrated into the project design.
Written reports for each stage of engagement including minimum accessibility requirements that must be met, plus universal design recommendations (above and beyond minimum) to help create a more inclusive environment.
Minimum requirements and universal design recommendations are clearly differentiated in the report so that readers understand which of these are must-haves and which are better-to-haves.
Support for the design team at all stages of a project to answer queries, explain the reasons and benefits of the minimum requirements and universal design recommendations and assist with finding the best access solutions for each design.
Our services are tailored to your requirements, delivered to budget, and on time.
